Here we have compiled some simple fresh recipe ideas for you to try when weaning your baby as well as giving you some ideas for healthy, interesting meals for your growing baby.
Remember, for the first six months of your baby’s life, breast milk or formula milk provide all the required nutrients he or she needs. Even if you start introducing solids at four or five months, these foods are no more than ‘taste sensations’ and shouldn’t mean that you reduce your baby’s milk intake.
Once your baby finds his or her feet, they will be on the go constantly. So as well as providing them with healthy and wholesome meals you will also need to give them quick energy boosting snacks. Encourage your child to try a variety of snacks such as pieces of cheese, different types of fruit and even home made cake – so that they develop a good mixed diet.
