Fresh Spaghetti Bolognese for Baby (Baby 9 - 12 months)

Give baby a taste of Italy with this classic dish. Easy to prepare and easy for your baby to digest, this wholesome mix of ingredients provides essential nutrients as well as a great flavour.

Ingredients
Ingredients for 6 portions:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
½ small onion, peeled ad chopped
1 small garlic clove, crushed
1 oz carrots, grated
4 oz lean minced beef
½ teaspoon tomato puree
2 tomatoes, skinned, deseeded and chopped
3 fl oz chicken stock
1 ½ oz pasta


Step Description
1 Warm the oil in a pan.
2 Add the onion and the garlic and sauté for 4 minutes over a medium heat.
3 Add the carrots and cook for a further 3 minutes.
4 Add the minced beef and brown.
5 Stir in the tomatoes and the tomato puree and bring to the boil.
6 Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
7 Cook the pasta as per the packet instructions. Once cooked chop into small pieces.
8 You can blend the Bolognese sauce if you wish – or perhaps your baby can chew the mince pieces.

Note:


Only the sauce is suitable for freezing - not the cooked pasta.
