| Ingredients for 6 portions: |
| 1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
| ½ small onion, peeled ad chopped |
| 1 small garlic clove, crushed |
| 1 oz carrots, grated |
| 4 oz lean minced beef |
| ½ teaspoon tomato puree |
| 2 tomatoes, skinned, deseeded and chopped |
| 3 fl oz chicken stock |
| 1 ½ oz pasta |
| Step | Description |

| 1 | Warm the oil in a pan. |
| 2 | Add the onion and the garlic and sauté for 4 minutes over a medium heat. |
| 3 | Add the carrots and cook for a further 3 minutes. |
| 4 | Add the minced beef and brown. |
| 5 | Stir in the tomatoes and the tomato puree and bring to the boil. |
| 6 | Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. |
| 7 | Cook the pasta as per the packet instructions. Once cooked chop into small pieces. |
| 8 | You can blend the Bolognese sauce if you wish – or perhaps your baby can chew the mince pieces. |
